What We Believe

We believe…

Our Five Core Values

God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good. This speaks to how we perceive who God is. The way we see God becomes the prism through which we see everything around us. When we truly believe that God is good, even when life is difficult and circumstances don’t make sense, we can still trust that He is working in ways we may not yet understand.

Psalm 34:8; Psalm 23:6; 1 Chronicles 16:34; Psalm 119:68; Psalm 145:8

The Bible is true. It is the Word of God, given to reveal who He is, who we are, and how we are to live. Its truth does not change with culture or circumstances.

2 Timothy 3:16–17; Matthew 24:35; 2 Peter 1:21; Hebrews 4:12

I am who God says I am. My identity is not determined by my past, my failures, my accomplishments, or what others say about me. My true identity is found in God. He calls me His child, His beloved, forgiven, chosen, and redeemed. When I believe what God says about me, I can walk with confidence, knowing I am who God says I am.

Jeremiah 1:5; Psalm 139:14; 1 Peter 2:9; Ephesians 2:10

Honoring God and others is our priority. This is based on the great commandment. Our relationship with God should always be our first priority, but our love for God should also shape the way we treat others. Jesus connected these two commands together: love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. When we honor God, we honor others through our words, actions, forgiveness, kindness, and love.

Mark 12:30–31; 1 John 4:7, 20–21; Galatians 5:14; Colossians 3:12

The supernatural power of God is for today. God has not changed. The same God who performed miracles, healed the sick, delivered the oppressed, and answered prayers throughout Scripture is still at work today. His power is not limited to the pages of the Bible. We can trust Him to work supernaturally in our lives today, according to His will.

John 14:12; Ephesians 3:20; Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8; James 5:14–16
