His Amazing Grace

Welcome to His Amazing Grace! Wherever you are in life and whatever brought you here, please know you are welcome. God has placed a special group of people on my heart—those experiencing seasons of transition through age, disability, mobility challenges, emotional hurt, loss, or difficult circumstances. Whatever your situation, remember: You are loved. You are not forgotten. You are not alone. God sees you, hears you, and still has an amazing purpose for your life. Here you’ll find devotionals, videos, songs, blogs, Bible studies, and opportunities for prayer. Our purpose is simple: to remind you that you are loved, valued, and never forgotten. Pastor Chris J Smithy

Chris answered the call to preach at just twelve years old, when he preached his first sermon. That moment marked the beginning of a calling that would shape the course of his life. At nineteen, he stepped into his first pastorate, trusting God to lead him beyond his years and equip him for the journey ahead. Since then, Pastor Chris has devoted most of his adult life to pastoral ministry, shepherding people with a servant’s heart and a deep love for God’s people.

Prior to retiring in 2025 due to an eye condition, Chris served his final 22 years of pastoral ministry at Curtis Road Church of God in Champaign, Illinois. There, he and his bride of 48 years, Teresa, faithfully served their congregation—loving people, building community, and pointing hearts toward Christ.

Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Daily Devotional

Today's Encouragement

Have you ever felt that your best days are behind you? That because of age, physical limitations, or whatever else, God is done with you? Maybe you’ve believed your season of purpose has quietly passed you by. But God has never walked away from an unfinished work, and He isn’t about to start with you. The same God who called you, shaped you, and carried you through every season of life is still at work. He has not finished writing your story. Right where you are, in this room, in this chair, even in this body, He still wants to use you. Your prayers, your faith, your smile, your witness—these are His tools in the hands of a God who never wastes a willing heart. Never forget, He who began a good work in you will complete it.

Prayer

Lord, I thank You for making me with purpose. Not only in the seasons when life feels good, but even here, exactly where I am right now. My steps are ordered by You, and I rest in knowing that I am held safely in the palm of Your hand. Amen.

Faith That Moves Mountains

Scripture: Matthew 17:20 (NKJV)

So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
